THE CHAIN GANG LUNCH RUN: (weather permitting) join the chain gang for a run and lunch. Depart Vic Andersons place in Bowman Ave. You do not need a bike to participate….you could walk or better still bring your car.

Display your vehicles in Curtis Park between 9.00am and 11.00am It will be Farmers Market Sunday so coffee etc. will be available to purchase.

DECEMBER EVENTS.

Sunday 3rd December: Shannons Display and chat - Curtis Park

Display your vehicle between 9 and 11am. It’s Market Sunday so you can check out the markets, grab a coffee, meet people “I haven’t seen in years” and talk cars and bikes and other stuff with fellow members. Attendance at this event is running consistently above 30 cars and bikes-check it out.

Sunday 10th December: Christmas Party - Armidale Racecourse 

This year the Christmas Party will be  combined with the Children’s Christmas Party. 11.30am for a 12noon start. BBQ lunch of steak, sausages and salads. The bar will be operating. Cost $15 per head but Primary school children and under are free. Activities for the kids, and the Big Fella in Red will pay a visit during the afternoon.

Wednesday 13th December

Monthly Meeting- Armidale City Bowling Club 7.30pm

Sunday 17th December: Afternoon Tea at Dumaresq dam from 3pm

(N.B. new time for daylight saving months.) BYO arvo tea, a chair or two or the Billabong rug and have a good old yarn to finish off the year’s activities.

 

JANUARY EVENTS:

Monday 1st January: New Years Day Run

Meet at the Tourist Information Centre  for a 10am Departure for a short run arriving at Central Park in Armidale for morning tea and a picnic lunch (and maybe a guest speaker). Bring chairs, food and drink...whatever you need for a relaxing start to the New Year.

This run will be to Glen Innes for a tour of the new Wind farm. Mark this full day event down now and the details of the day will be available at the December and January meetings (no magazine in January) and on the web site as they are finalised.

Meet at the Tourist Information Centre for a 7am DEPARTURE to Walcha for their Australia Day Breakfast. Return via Uralla for their Australia Day Parade and then back to Armidale to display the cars at their celebrations. You can attend any or all of these events….you choose.

Saturday 27th January: Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival, Show and Shine

Meet at the Tourist Information Centre for a 8.15am Departure. This year the show has been extended to include caravans and they are expecting over 200 vehicles and are asking for numbers….so if you plan to go….let Col know before or at our December meeting.
